The Altar app lets members watch and participate in a church event when they're away from their desktop. Download the app to watch a live event or participate in a meeting, watch a past event, chat with other members during a live event our after the event finishes, and view the calendar of upcoming events and meetings. Members will also receive mobile notifications through the Altar app.
Step 1: Download the Altar app
- Find Altar Live in the App Store
- Tap Get to download
- Tap Open from the App Store.
Step 2: Give Altar access to your microphone and camera
Step 3: Sign in to your church community
Once you've installed the Altar app, you can sign in with your email and password credentials. If you have not yet created a member account, find the invitation in your email and set up your username and password on a desktop.
If your church community's administrator has already added you as a member, you will be logged in to your community. If you have not been added as a member of a community, search for your church under Find My Church and request permissions from the church administrator.
If you have not yet created a church community account, click on Create New Church Community to set up your church community.
