Altar Live is an online church platform designed for faith communities to stream and host interactive and engaging events and services. Altar’s simple, intuitive platform gathers your people together online where they can worship together in watch parties, freely socialize at virtual tables together, and find private places to pray with each other. As most churches are adding a virtual option or switching to online full time, it is essential to pick the right platform. Here are a few of the many reasons why you should use Altar Live for your church live stream.

Meetings

Ditch your Zoom accounts and switch to Altar Live - you give your entire team access to schedule synchronous video-conference meetings with multiple hosts. When you aren’t using Altar Live for your church live stream, you can use the platform in other ways to serve your faith community.  Altar is a one-stop destination not only for your services, but your small-groups, Bible studies, prayer meetings, staff meetings, and more!

Why do we think Altar Meetings is the best video conferencing experience for faith communities?

  • 100+ person capacity
  • People can freely move on their own between breakout tables and rooms
  • One account, multiple hosts
  • One account, synchronous & concurrent events
  • Everything is browser based & fully supported on mobile
  • Participants can share their screen
  • Hosts have controls over all participant mics & cameras
  • Seamless integration into a Sunday service or a mid-week church gathering

Rooms

Need a room for Sunday or weekday events for classes, youth groups, prayer meetings, and impromptu gatherings? Altar has got you covered! In the Lobby of an Altar Live event like a church stream you can add Rooms. During the event creation process, you can add multiple Rooms to your Event. Rooms function as breakout video conference sessions inside the Lobby and they have capacity for up to 50 people at a time. Each Room can be named and given a description so you will be able to direct people to which room they should go to before or after the service. Rooms can be accessed by all the attendees when the Event is in Lobby state. Attendees can toggle between Tables and Rooms to be able to move around. It gives attendees the freedom to meet and mingle with other people in the event. The host does not need to worry about assigning people to a room beforehand!

Announcements

If you ever need to make an announcement during your church live stream, but don't want to disrupt the service, they can use the announcement feature!  During events, meetings, and services, you can send out three different kinds of announcements: panel, modal, and notification type.

Announcements are great for sending reminders and messages to the church community. Send announcements to attendees to let them know about:

  • Giving
  • Registration for small groups
  • Prayer requests
  • Upcoming events

The possibilities are endless. Hosts have total control and can even schedule announcements before the event starts.

Polls

During a church live stream, polls are a great way to start conversations and engage with attendees. From asking people which ice cream flavor they like better to what book of the Bible should be covered in a small group, the possibilities are endless! The poll feature is located on the right side of the screen. You can easily fill out the information, add answer options and choose whether you want the attendees to see the answers.

These features are just a few reasons why you should use Altar Live for your church live stream. Altar Live is the only video conference platform designed for faith communities. Get started today for free & start growing your online engagement today!
