Yes! New Altar Live community accounts start on the free plan, $0 due at sign up. On the free plan you can create an event, connect a live stream feed, and invite people to watch. Online participants can watch and chat with one another, but won't be able to use features such as watch parties, lobby, announcements and many others. Upgrade to a paid plan to be able to use those features.
Every community starts on the 70 member tier. As more people create accounts in your community, the system will let you know if your community outgrows your plan and prompt you to upgrade to the next tier.
No. You only pay for people who become members of your Altar Live community by creating a personal account. Not logged-in people (anonymous users) who join your event are not considered members. The system will notify you if a user becomes "inactive", meaning they have not attended an event or accessed their account after 45 days. Their account is not deleted, but they will automatically be removed from your paid member seats.
The system will notify the admin when your community outgrows your current pricing tier. If this happens during an event - it will not block users from participating in the event or joining your community. After the event is over, admin have a chance to remove inactive members or upgrade to next pricing tier. You can also easily switch between, pause, or cancel your plan at any time through your billing portal. If your online attendance fluctuates, you can easily upgrade or downgrade as needed. Billing is prorated based on when you upgrade or downgrade the account.
The credit card you connect to your account will get billed automatically every 30 days. You can manage billing settings through your Billing Portal.
