Using pre-recorded videos is a great option for smooth and seamless online events.

You can upload pre-recorded videos to Altar Live directly! Once you upload a video file, the system will upload and then transcode the video to optimize your video for attendees on mobile devices and slow internet connections. The process will run in the background and may take up to 1 hour. Upload the video at least an hour before your event begins.

How to upload a pre-recorded video to Altar Live

Step 1: Create a new event.

Step 2: On the Stream step of your event, choose the Pre-recorded Video option.

Step 3: Choose the Altar Live option.

Step 4: Click on the upload field.

Step 5: Choose a video file from your computer, less than 1 GB.

Step 6: Once you select a file, your video file will be uploaded.

Step 7: After your file is uploaded, the system transcodes it to optimize your video for attendees on mobile devices and slow internet connections. The process will run in the background and may take up to 1 hour. You can continue and proceed forward.

Step 8: If you want to replace the video, click the Replace Video button and select a new file.

Step 9: Save or Publish your event.
