You can now connect HLS (.m3u8) links from DaCast, Churchstreaming.TV, Castr, Boxcast and other providers!

HLS (.m3u8 links) is a live stream protocol created by Apple and utilizes standard web servers and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to distribute streaming media in small chunks. HLS is the preferred standard for live-streaming content.

Why should you use HLS over iframe or other types of URLs? Here are the top reasons:

  1. Videos are synched and are fully supported on mobile devices.
  2. HLS is compatible with a wide range of devices and firewalls
  3. It can detect a decline in bandwidth and adjust the quality to keep the stream from being interrupted


Pre-recorded videos will not be synced on mobile devices if you use a custom iframe embed code.
