Getting started for members

Welcome to Altar! Your community is using Altar to host live stream events and video-conference meetings. As a member of a community using Altar, you will be able to watch and participate in live events and attend virtual meetings. Our platform allows you to easily view live stream video, follow-along slides and chat with other members. Check out the What is Altar? article to learn everything you need to know. Read on to learn more about setting up your member profile.

Join your community

A community is a church's shared platform, where church members can view and schedule upcoming live stream events and video-conference meetings. You can join in two ways:

  • If you received an email invitation, accept the invitation and follow the steps to create your account.
  • If your community sends out a self sign-up link, click on the link and follow the steps to create your account.

Note: If you have not yet received an invitation to join your community, contact your community administrator to be re-sent a link or email. If you are a community administrator and want to set up a new community, learn more about creating a new community.

Set up your member profile

As a member of a community in Altar, your profile will have the information you entered when you created your account.

When you set up your account, we’ll ask you to enter your full name, email, phone number, and create a password so you can sign in and out with ease.

Log-in to your community

Once you have been sent an invitation to a community and created an account, you can log-in to your community at any time! There are a few ways you can log-in:

  • Navigate to the Altar website and click Log-In in the upper right hand corner. in the upper right hand corner
  • Enter app.atlarlive.com in your browser url and log-in.
  • Download the Altar app and log-in.
