Anyone can join an event on the Altar Live platform with a one-click, shareable link.

It's easy to invite people to your event before the event begins and during the live event! You do not need an account to join a public event. Learn more about how to add members to your community without or before an event and how people can sign up to join your community during an event

Altar is compatible across browser types and does not require downloads or plugins to run on your desktop. However, there are certain browser version limitations and internet speed requirements to be able to successfully participate in events in Altar Live. Learn more about the minimum technology requirements and the Altar Live mobile app.

Once your event is created, it will generate an Event URL that can be copied, pasted, and shared. There are three options to share your Event URL with people.

On Event Card

You can copy the URL from the event card by clicking on the three dots and then clicking the Copy URL when the event is published.

 In Edit Mode

You can copy the URL in Edit mode. All you need is to click on the Edit button on the event card. Once the Edit mode opened, you can copy the URL provided in the General Details step.

During a Live Event

You can copy the Event URL from inside an ongoing live event by clicking on the Copy URL button in the upper right-hand corner.

Anyone watching the event can copy the event link and share it, including anonymous users.

Note: The URL in the browser bar will not work to share recurring events. Be sure to use the share invitation link instead!
