Reduce client processing demands, improve data consumption needs, and increased global communication servers coverage

‍We won't bore you with all the technical details, but we implemented some structural changes to the backend of the platform. We optimized the video size to be comparable with Google Meet, which will require less data and improve connection on lower latency wifi. The platform will also require less CPU power, meaning your computer won't have to work as hard. We also increased server coverage to improve stability.

No length limit to General Chat messages

‍When you send messages in the General Chat, you will no longer get a message length limit. Instead, messages longer than 280 characters will be split up and sent as individual messages when you click send.

General Chat optimization for larger groups

‍We revisited the general chat logic this week to optimize the performance for larger events with chatty participants.

Facebook profile pictures no longer shown as broken

‍If someone joins with their Facebook account, their profile picture will no longer show as corrupted.

Ongoing event label will show on event card again

‍You may have noticed the Ongoing event label has reappeared on event cards - even the small details matter to us!
