To run an event in Altar Live, you must already be live streaming your service or events. If you are using a streaming provider, you can connect to Altar Live in two ways:

  • Directly from a streaming provider by embedding their video player into an Altar Live event via RTMP or HLS (.m3u8).
  • Indirectly through a streaming provider to a video player such as YouTube, Facebook, or Vimeo, and embedding a Stream URL to Altar.

Below are some of the most common live stream providers and guides to connect to Altar Live.

Live stream providers - Stream URL

If you use one of these live stream providers, send your live stream feed to a video player such as Facebook, YouTube, or Vimeo and connect the live Stream URL from there to Altar Live.

Live stream providers - RTMP or HLS (.M3u8)

These are the live stream providers that have their own video player and can be connected via HLS (.m3u8) or RTMP into Altar Live.
