Plus did you see our update from last week about updating your recurring event links?

New community creation flow

Creating a space for people to gather online should be easy - and by easy, we mean it should take 30 seconds or less. That's why we have relaunched our new Altar community creation flow to be half the steps and get you up and running faster. When you create a new community in Altar Live, you'll be able to do it in two quick steps and hop right into the Free Practice Event where you can play around with all the features. Now you can spend more time with your people, and less time on the technology.

Making the whole table clickable in the Lobby

We noticed that clicking on individual seats at a table or the Join button wasn't always obvious to people, so we have now allowed the entire table area to be clickable. If you click anywhere in the box around the table, you'll be able to join the table (as long as there's an empty seat of course!).

New Events & Meeting screen design on mobile!

A sleek new design is coming to mobile, starting with the Events & Meetings screen changing to a darker design. Hop into your account on mobile to check out the new look.

Ability to name table from lobby on iOS apps

If you are joining as a Host or Greeter on your iPhone, you now have the ability to rename tables from within the Altar app! If you name a table while on the mobile app, it will update everywhere across all platforms. Try it out for yourself!

Google won’t ask for your Gender when you create a new account

We heard from some people that when they tried to sign up for a member account in an Altar community with their Google account, they would get a strange popup from Google asking for their gender. This was a bug from the Google log in flow implementation that has now been resolved. Your people won't see that popup anymore!
